Why bother sealing asphalt driveways? As water permeates through the cracks or porous asphalt, it settles and begins to compromise the base resulting in the formation of spider cracks then potholes. Cracks filled with water are also an open invitation in the North to damage from freezing (Expansion & contraction). Even in warm climates, grass can begin to grow up through cracks on the edges of the surface. Damage from ultraviolet rays and oil/gas spills are other good reasons for sealing asphalt driveways.

An important note about Crack Sealing: Does not include all types of cracks. Hot rubber seal is not intented to seal seams, edge cracks, hairline cracks, raised cracks, spider cracks, or cracks over 1.5". Our hot rubber sealant is designed for major stress cracks only.

How We Seal:
We use a brush applicator instead of a spray because it forces the sealant into the cracks and holes in your driveway better and more equally than a spray.
All sealers are not created equal and not all contractors use the best additives and/or aggregates in their sealer.
Sealcoating pavements at two to three-year intervals will virtually stop solar damage to the binder material. The frequency of sealcoating can depend on the climate, salts or de-icers, and traffic wear. For that reason, sealcoating is a very cost-effective preventative maintenance measure for greatly extending the useful life of pavement. Sealcoat is a coal tar pitch or emulsion fortified with additives and sand. It resists damage from solar radiation, petroleum spills, and water penetration. With SealWorks, you’ll always know you’re getting the best.
